ROME
I heard the heavens drumming on my car
When I saw his worn-out shoes
He was rambling on his way
Tried to escape with his abuse
Crying out his final plea
Please bring me to Rome
With my very first step I started
The walk to my resting place
Tried to create some meaning
But soon I’m gone without a trace
Doesn’t matter what I do
I’m going to Rome
If your luck is as good as mine
You can choose which way to go
And we can choose to see the beauty
To get a glimpse of what’s down the line
But no matter what I do
I’m going to Rome
Ain’t nothing I can do
I’m coming home
They say all roads lead to Rome
But the city’s never full
